Off-Campus Access
KEYS to Success to Connect
- Internet Connectivity

- Authorized user
With these three keys in place you should not experience problems connecting to the College
of Business resources.
Internet Connectivity
In order to have access to campus resources, verify that you do have internet capabilities.
Without it you will not be able to proceed.
VPN Client
Our servers are behind the border firewall of campus.Because of this, special
software will need to be installed on a local machine in order to access the network resources
directly.This software is known as a VPN client.
This VPN client can be downloaded here:
Since you are off-campus, you will be prompted for your username and password.Use the
following format:
auburn\emailid
along with your password.
Once you have installed and rebooted your computer, launch the VPN client.This
will bring up a window similar to the one below:

If you are not on the University�s wireless network, double click "AU Off Campus".
Authorized User
You will be prompted for your username and password.Enter it and you will be prompted with
the standard disclaimer.Click OK.
Your
computer is now part of the University�s network and we can now access the
College of Business network resources.These resources may be network
drives or printers.
Network Drives
There are
three common network drives for the College of Business.These are the U,
W, and S drives.The U drive is private and is strictly for the individual
user.The W drive is the individual�s web space on the College of Business
and is readable by everyone.The S drive is the collaboration
drive.
With
yourself logged into the VPN, access the network drive by going to: Start and
then clicking on Run
For the U
drive type:
\\jade\homes
For the W
drive type:
\\jade\web
For the S
drive at the Lowder Building type:
\\diamond\share
For the S
drive at the Airport type:
\\flighted-server\share
This will
bring up a login prompt.Login with your cob\usernameand password.
Once you are
logged in you should see the folder open up with the contents of that
drive.
